CobbleTac Tactiles are available in 4 colours to meet the 30% luminance contrast requirements of the Australian Standard AS1428 — 2009 Design for access and mobility— Means to assist the orientation of people with vision impairment—Tactile ground surface indicators, in both Hazard and Directional profiles.

Permanent Solutions

CobbleTac Tactiles are manufactured in tough porcelain to provide a cost competitive permanent solution and are warranted against manufacturing faults for a period of 10 years, when installed to the manufacturer's installation instructions.

UV Stable

CobbleTac Tactiles are UV Stable and have been designed and tested in Australia's extreme climatic conditions. CobbleTac Tactiles will retain colour contrast, will not absorb moisture and will remain dimensionally stable for the life of the product.

Easy to Install

CobbleTac Tactiles are easy to install using standard industry methods and are appropriate for both internal and external applications such as: bus stops, pedestrian crossings, stairs and ramps. CobbleTac Tactiles can be installed into concrete, bitumen, pavers, and over most other substrates.

Australian Standards

CobbleTac Tactiles meet Australian Standard AS1428 — 2009Design for access and mobility — Means to assist the orientation of people with vision impairment — Tactile ground surface indicators, and are guaranteed to conform to all of the dimensional requirements to provide safe and effective tactile cues for the vision impaired. Available in 300x300x15mm format (10mm base with 5mm stud height).

R12 Slip Resistance for Pedestrian Surfaces

CobbleTac Tactiles are R12 rated in accordance with the Australian Standards AS4586:2004, Slip resistance classification of new pedestrian surface materials. CobbleTac porcelain Tactiles exceed the slip resistance guidelines HB197.1999 for external ramps, walkways, pedestrian crossings and all requirements of the National Construction Code.
